“Whale in Love” Art Installation at Love River

Exhibition dates: January 21st to March 31st, 2020

Exhibition venue: Love River (at intersection between Cisian Rd. and Hedong Rd.)

　Kaohsiung City Government is excited to reveal its most recent public art installation named “Whale in Love”, which is located at the Love River. This art work was created out of approximately 50 Metric Tons of recycled plastic by the artists Jason Klimoski and Lesley Chang from StudioKCA (a New York based architectural studio). It depicts a gigantic whale leaping 14-meters above the Love River and was created to inspire people to better protect the environment.

　StudioKCA建築事務所のJason Klimoski（柯杰生）氏、Lesley Chang（張碩芬）氏の作品を見に行こう。高雄で回収されたプラスチック製品の廃棄物で作られた約50トンの鯨。愛河の水面を14メートル美しい姿は、見た人に環境保護を考えるきっかけを与える。
