A Tranquil Day in Yongan Fishing Village

　Yongan District（永安）is a welcoming, picturesque coastal community. Here, life moves at a slower pace, reflecting the traditional culture of this quaint fishing village. 　Yongan, renowned as the hometown of grouper, is also home to Taiwan's only blue carbon base. Abandoned fish ponds have been transformed into seagrass beds that effectively sequester carbon emissions from local aquaculture farms. The Singang Community（新港社區）offers tours featuring hands-on environmental education, including traditional fishing, feeding giant groupers, and planting mangroves. The community is also implementing an innovative circular economy by using the entire fish. Fish offal is converted into liquid fertilizer, bones into pet food, and collagen from scales is used in ice cream. Each initiative showcases Yongan's innovative commitment to sustainability and heritage preservation.

　Yongan's Youth Innovation Hub offers a unique window into the village's creative approaches to preserving local culture and heritage. At the Seaside Newbie Village, visitors can explore restored traditional homes and delve into the village's history. By combining heritage preservation and traditional fishing culture with youth-led initiatives such as creative workshops, entrepreneurship, and seafood education, the community engages young people. It ensures that traditions are not only preserved but also reinterpreted to keep them alive. Guests can savor local grouper specialties, craft their own grouper-themed drawstring pouches, and gain valuable insights into the village's way of life.

　Before you head out, don't miss Jhuzihgang Wenxing Temple. Its striking public art installation, crafted from oyster shells by mural artist Yang Yi（楊逸）and local elders, tells the story of Zen Master Yingxiang's（應祥禪師）journey to Taiwan. 靠海慢步調 永安小漁村一日散策

　　在永安，慢是一種選擇，也是生活。從活化老宅的「住海邊新手村」出發，再漫步竹仔港文興宮，一天就能讓地方風景走進心裡。
　　這裡不只是石斑魚的故鄉，永安新港社區也是全臺唯一藍碳基地，利用荒廢魚塭種植海草，可吸收養殖碳排。社區將環境教育融入遊程中，透過體驗漁事活動、餵食龍膽石斑、種植紅樹林植物，讓環境永續理念寓教於樂。社區更落實全魚利用，將魚內臟製成液態肥、魚骨加工為寵物食品、魚鱗萃取膠原製成冰淇淋，展現循環經濟的創意。
　　走訪永安青創聚落，利用老屋活化的「住海邊新手村」，保留永安在地傳統的生活文化，並結合青創、食魚教育與手作體驗，可品嘗石斑魚風味餐、製作石斑魚束口袋，在老屋中感受漁村慢生活。
　　最後順道走訪竹仔港文興宮，欣賞由彩繪藝術家楊逸與在地長者利用蚵殼共同創作的行動藝術，以壁畫述說應祥禪師渡臺的故事，配合當地長者的講古特別生動。
　　從永安新港社區到竹仔港，沒有喧囂人潮，只有海風、老屋與漁村日常，不禁讓人放慢腳步，細品永安的獨特魅力。
